Get off the fence and get one

Unreal difference between OEM baskets (profitec pro 500 pid) and the VST's. Have bought 3 sizes from Coffee Addicts and i can grind much finer, get longer, slower extraction shots and the aroma, taste, and body is amazing.
VST's let me pull a super thick and creamy "american ristretto" (ala David Schomer's Vivace Dolce espresso) and shots drip like tar in the first 7-10 secs. of extraction, and can get 20-25ml shots in 26-31 secs. now, worth the cost.

Very impressed with this basket. Consistent shots each time and I also took this opportunity to upgrade the basket size to a 20g. Coffee Addicts delivered with excellent service as always which is greatly appreciated.

Good basket - nicely made, but a bit pricey

I love the fact this is ridgeless, but in terms of performance this is not night and day from my stock ascaso basket. Slighly better extraction due to more holes and a move even distribution accross the puck, but at this price I might have stuck with the stock basket or tried another brand had I known it wouldn't be a bigger difference
