The shape was designed by IMS to optimize the ratio between base and height of the coffee puck as well as facilitate drying and expulsion.

Really good product! Amazing customer service.

I'm using the Breville Bambino Plus. Stock protifilter with the plastic piece taken out. I was advised to use the 16-20g basket to avoid any issues with basket height clearance. I have no issues with height clearance. It's just a tight fit in the portifilter, but it works (using stock spring so maybe thats why?). I'm using 18-19g doses (mostly closer to 19g). I found with anything less, there was higher likelihood of the pucks not coming out clean, but could be our beans (namely medium / light roasts at this moment).

Highly recommend for anyone wanting to make a relatively simple and affordable upgrade! Nothing wrong with the stock baskets (used the single walled double shot), but with this IMS basket I can grind finer with less bitterness with the default programmed double shot.

I had a few questions for the Coffee Addicts staff and they responded very quickly and were very helpful with making my decision to buy this! Got the product timely and had no issues.

Good tool for better extraction.

After a bit under 30 shots over a long period of time I can say this is a surprisingly good investment. My stock Breville portafilter didn't appear to have very obvious defects, but the IMS basket's main benefit I have noticed is that of increasing flow, allowing you to grind finer and improve extraction. Results so far have been predominantly tastier.

I got the basket size since I tend to brew between 18-19g, and it works well, though at 18 grams I gotta leave the puck in a little bit longer after brewing for a dry disposal.

This model is good for light roast. Do not use with medium or dark, theses baskets are bigger

Outstanding all around!

First off i have to say that the staff at Coffee Addicts are stellar! Friendly, responsive and just an overall pleasant experience in my first purchase. This 16-20g basket is exactly what I have been looking for and was the perfect size for my 18g doses. I was hesitant getting this and not the 18-22g, but i was extremely satisfied with the size i selected. Thank you Coffee Addicts and i will be ordering from you very soon!
