The Gaggia liquid descaler (also called decalcifier) has been specifically designed for all home espresso machines, including manual and super automatic machines.  It has been specifically formulated to remove lime scale as well as reduce corrosion. 

Scale build-up is the number one reason for espresso machines to fail or underperform.  Regular descaling of your machine will protect your investment and extends its life.

Follow the machine manufacturer's instructions to descale (decalcify or delime) the espresso machine or coffee brewer.  Always rinse the machine at least twice with fresh water after decalcifying and before re-filling and reusing the machine.

Unclogged solenoid with built-up scale

Steam wand did not work. I suspected it was built-up scale or a clogged solenoid. Descaled using this product and it got it working again!

OEM cleaning power

I purchased an old coffee Gaggia machine and took it all apart descaled with citrus and scrubbed any scaling on the internals of the boiler. Everything looked nice and clean. Purchased a bottle of the Gaggia descaler and ran it through my machine and low and behold had some metal shavings/grindings come out. Very happy that this product works. Make sure you follow the instructions for a proper clean. I ran a second tank of clean water to be sure there was no solution left in the machine.

There’s not much to review here given the cleaning happens inside the machine. But it seemed to do it’s job as far as I can tell. I will comment on how easy it was to order from CA and pick up the order. Great service and I’ll be buying supplies here again.
