The Moka competition filter has been created to enhance the extraction of coffee from your Moka Pot.  Developing a filter with more smaller holes (0.2mm diameter) then the fewer and larger traditional ones (≈ 0,8mm diameter) allows for a perfect extraction by avoiding high pressured water that could damage the coffee puck. A cleaner beverage is obtained thanks to the reduction to the fine particles in the cup, in this way the acidity is increased while the bitterness is reduced.

    Worthy upgrade to Bialetti moka pots

    Confirming what others have already said in that the filter makes for a cleaner cup.
    I've bought one of each size (1c, 3c, and 6c) for the Bialetti Moka Express pots, and I later bought a second 3c one as it also fits the Bialetti Brikka (2c).

    Fancy Filter

    Makes a much cleaner brew with little to no residual oil. Silicone gasket fits my vintage,1-cup Bialetti extremely snuggly. Thanks my Canadian friends for supplying me with this very difficult to find size.
