This test kit includes 2 separate tests, one for calcium, the main mineral behind scale build up, and a Total Hardness test which is used when testing the water for your BWT filter.  Simply fill the test jar with water and add drops until the color changes.

Great kit... But expiry dates on the kit for a month after received

Very happy with this kit overall just a bit annoyed that the expiry dates on the droppers expired shortly after I received them. Also have an API kit that's used with aquariums. Both kits give identical results as an FYI for other users.
