The BWT bestflush valve is recommended to install after the BWT besthead to easily run a few liters of water when replacing new filter.   It is highly recommended when using BWT water filters of size X and higher to relieve pressure when changing the filter.

BWT Bestflush

It seems a lot of money for a little plastic valve. That said, it installed easily, did not leak, and allowed me to flush out the new filter before running water to the plumbed in machine, so works as advertised.
